Really, You’re a Good Mom

Your brain is designed to find danger and keep you alive. Telling you’re a good mom… doesn’t really help keep you alive.

Instead, your brain thinks it’s so clever to tell you all the ways you’re a failure hoping that you’ll take even less risks and stay alive longer.

Today’s episode is about how we can talk to our brains and stop feeling so awful about ourselves!

TRANSCRIPT OF THE SHOW

Today, we’re going to be talking about how you’re doing a good job. And I feel like I’ve done a podcast on this before. But I thought, well, I’m doing it again because you need to hear it again  because every single one of my clients needs to hear it again.  You’re doing a good job.  Did you know that your brain is not wired to say nice things to you?

Your brain  is wired  to find danger, to keep you alive.  It doesn’t need to give you compliments  to find danger and keep you alive.  In fact, most of the time it’s going to tell you what’s wrong because  it thinks that that is protecting you.
